PEI BURGER LOVE RULES & TERMS

PEI Burger Love contests are open to all Canadian residents aged 19 years or older, with the exception of the ‘My Burger Love Kids Contest’ where younger entrants (with parents permission) are eligible to enter this contest only. Those ineligible to enter any PEI Burger Love contest include directors and employees of Anderson House (Family Violence Prevention Services), plus those of corporate sponsors in relation to their specific prize/promotion.

Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programming or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received by the draw deadlines. Any referenced retail values for prizing are in Canadian dollars. Winners may be asked to produce a piece of government-issued photo identification for the purpose of identity verification.

All contest rules and prizing are valid between April 1st, 2024, to April 31st, 2024 only. No cash value for any listed prizes except for prizing where a clear monetary prize is referenced; prizing is non-transferable. All prizes must be claimed before May 15th, 2024 at 4:00pm AST. Any unclaimed and/or unused prize element will remain the property of applicable sponsor. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, as-is, and with no substitutions or exchanges.

All prizing, unless otherwise stated, is to be organized directly between each prize sponsor and prize winners. Any costs incurred by the winners due to transportation to claim prizing is solely the responsibility of the entrant, and at no time will any compensation for any transportation costs be the responsibility of any sponsor.

GENERAL CONTEST RULES

Anderson House and all partners and prize sponsors will not be held responsible for entries that are lost or delayed during submission. Anderson House and all partners and prize sponsors are not responsible for any failure of the website or social media platforms during these contests; nor are they responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software or any e-mail, online or internet entry lost due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Anderson House reserves the right to cancel contests or modify these rules at their discretion. Decisions of Anderson House will be final on all aspects of any contest, including matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment. All contests shall be subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.

By participating in any contest, each potential winner releases and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Anderson House and all partners and prize sponsors, and each of those entities’ respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, franchisees, successors, independent contractors, and all of those entities’ respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from and against any and all liability for any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, death and injury and property loss or damage, or illness due to food consumption, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in any contest, or arising out of participation in any contest-related activity. The potential winners waive the right to assert as a cost of winning the prize any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem said prize, and any claim respecting liability and publicity which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem that prize.

The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Any and all disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws and in the courts of the Province of PEI. Should there be a conflict between the PEI laws and any other laws, the conflict shall be resolved in favour of the PEI laws.

NON-CONTEST RULES & TERMS

FOOD ALLERGY DISCLAIMER: Anderson House and all partners and sponsors will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items one may come in contact with, during any visitations to participating restaurants in conjunction with the PEI Burger Love campaign. Entrants concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk.

PUBLICATION: By entering any contest, entrants consent to the use, without payment or compensation, of their names for publicity purposes in all media carried out by PEI Burger Love. By entering any contest, each entrant also consents to Anderson House storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his or her entry only for the purposes of administering the PEI Burger Love campaign in perpetuity, in its sole discretion, without any compensation, notice, approval or authorization. Anderson House will not otherwise sell or disclose any entrant's personal information unless permission was provided as part of contest entry. Anderson House has permission to use the information provided for the purpose of marketing.

INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE & SECURITY: Anderson House is the sole owner of the information collected on this web site. Anderson House takes every precaution to protect and secure our databases and user's information, and we will not sell, share or rent this information to others.

IP ADDRESSES: Anderson House collects and analyzes traffic on our web sites by keeping track of the IP addresses of our visitors. Anderson House logs this information to monitor things like the number of visitors visiting the web sites, analyze trends, administer the site, and gather broad demographic information. Anderson House does not link your IP address to any personally identifying information.
